Fiction can save a life or fix a life. My favourite book is William Styron's "Sophie's Choice." There is something so incredibly sad about the scene where Sophie is standing, freezing, waiting for her father to look through the typing she has done for him. He treats her like a servant. She has made the same mistake over and over and he father grows more angry, insulting her. Then he offers her tea, but she refuses. It's glorious!Mike Petersonnoreply@blogger.com
